Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of HohoClip (hohoclip.com). By using the site or placing an order you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. The service

HohoClip creates short, personalized digital greeting videos in which an original, fictional, AI-generated Santa character speaks a message written from text you provide. The service is text-only: we do not accept photo or video uploads, we do not offer face swaps, and our videos never depict or imitate the face, voice or likeness of any real person. Every video is AI-generated and labeled as such.

2. Who can use it

You must be 18 or older. If you enter details about a child, you confirm you are their parent or guardian or have their permission.

3. Accounts

• An account is optional. You are responsible for keeping your email account secure, because anyone with access to it can receive your sign-in codes.
• Do not share your account or sign-in codes with others.
• We may suspend or close accounts that we reasonably believe are used for abuse, fraud or violations of these terms.
• If you sign in with Google, your use of Google Sign-In is also subject to Google's own terms and policies.
• You can ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing hello@hohoclip.com.

4. Acceptable use

• No profanity, insults, bullying, threats, hate, sexual or violent content, or anything meant to scare or shame a child.
• No personal details such as street addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, links or school names.
• No attempts to make Santa speak as, about or on behalf of real people or public figures, and no impersonation, deepfakes or face swaps of anyone.
• No commercial, political or advertising messages, and nothing unlawful or infringing.

We automatically check inputs and scripts and may refuse, edit out or remove any content that breaks these rules. If we refuse an order after payment, you get a full refund.

5. Prices and payment

Current prices are a single video for $4.99 USD and a pack of three videos for $9.99 USD, as one-time payments with no subscription. A free watermarked preview is available before you pay. The final price, including any applicable sales tax or VAT, is shown at checkout before you pay.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller and merchant of record, Dodo Payments, which handles payment processing, taxes, billing and payment-related customer service. Your purchase is also subject to Dodo Payments' terms. The charge may appear on your card statement under Dodo Payments' name.

6. Delivery

Videos are digital products delivered online through a private share link (and, if you have an account, in "My videos"). Videos are usually ready within minutes of payment; at peak times it can take longer. If your video does not arrive within 24 hours, contact us.

7. Refunds

If your video fails to generate or has a technical problem we cannot fix, you get a full refund. Other requests are covered by our Refund Policy. Refunds are issued by Dodo Payments to your original payment method.

8. Your content and your video

You keep any rights in the text you provide and give us a limited license to use it only to produce and deliver your video. You may download, keep and share your finished video for personal, non-commercial use. The Santa character, artwork, voice and site content remain ours. We keep the hosted copy until 30 days after Christmas, so please download your video.

9. Wishes

Santa may mention your child's wish, but the video is not a promise of any gift.

10. Disclaimers and liability

AI-generated output may contain small imperfections in wording, pronunciation or animation. The service is provided "as is" to the extent allowed by law. To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the order concerned. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.

11. Changes

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Changes apply to orders placed after the update.
